I like old homes. Homes with complicated wood trims. When we bought a house it had two more recent extension rooms and a renovated kitchen all of which had plain, simple trims around windows and doors. It was Paulo Mendes's idea to replace all those trims and also to order doors with wood cuts and sliding closet doors with wood cuts to the master bedroom. He skillfully and with ease constructed the trims from many pieces of wood transforming the style and era of those living spaces to something we much preferred. I am now getting ready to hire Paulo Mendes again to replace my deck railing and porch pillars and from our conversation I learned that he knows what he's doing and he aims to do the work the way it is done right. Paulo is very pleasant to communicate with and a joy to be around. An honest, all around decent human being.

During the winter of 2015, I had multiple ice dams at my house. I had Paulo Mendes of M&P Home Renovations give me an estimate for the work to repair the damage to my home. He rebuilt my deck, completely renovated a bathroom, repaired the ceiling in my family room, and painted the family room. He added stunning crown molding to the family room, also. He is skilled at carpentry work and has wonderful design ideas. The wainscoting in the bathroom looks so rich and adds so much to the room, as does the crown molding in the family room. The attention to detail in his work is noteworthy. He was very professional, worked very hard, was prompt at arriving, and was extremely neat and careful of the house. During the renovation, we ran into some snags, but Paulo took care of anything that came up with expertise. He stuck closely to his estimate. His work has gotten nothing but rave reviews from everyone who has seen it. He is returning soon to update my kitchen! I would highly recommend Paulo Mendes of M&P Home Renovations to do any home renovations.
