After graduating from Cornell University with a BS in Finance and Computer Systems, Lowell moved to Atlanta in 1997 and began working for Hodges, Ward, Elliott, Inc., a hotel brokerage and investment banking firm. From there Lowell began working for Keller Williams, where he acquired his broker's license, which he still holds for more than 20 years. However, while selling homes, he guided most of his clients through their renovations, experiencing hundreds of projects and the complexities that often accompany remodels. He would eventually take on renovating houses himself, becoming a trusted contractor in the high-end remodeling space. While it may seem as if Lowell has lived a charmed life, in 2009 he was involved in a serious auto accident that nearly took his life. Revived at the scene, Lowell spent two years recovering. He was overwhelmed by the level of support and encouragement he received from family, friends, and business clients. Lowell has always been a hard worker but his recovery challenged him like nothing he’d ever faced before. True to his character, just over two years from the date of his accident, he walked the Peachtree Road race and then ran it in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Every stage of Lowell J. Figur’s life has been a testament to his dedication, honesty, and hard work with everything that he does.
