Nelson is recognized as a Historic Remodeler by the State of Louisiana for his work on the exterior renovations of both The Oakley Plantation in St. Francisville and Otis Plantation in Madisonville. HGTV featured a Dakmak Construction remodel project in their popular series "Bang for your Buck." Daren Dakmak, Nelson's son, grew up surrounded by creativity, inheriting his father's skilled craftsmanship and his mother's artistic talent. Daren's father, Nelson, is a highly skilled and respected contractor whose work has been featured on HGTV and 225 magazine.
